1Fret Away is a Rock band from Bangalore, formed in October 2007 under the name 'Insurgence' with different lineup. The band consist three Metal Heads and another with an Indian classical influence. The band struggled in early stages but picked up its pace when its line-up had reached its final destination during early 2010.A post Punk, Post Grunge, hard rock band from your neighborhood; feeding you the kinda music that was long forgotten. We’re a 5 piece band with an unimaginable line-up, with 3 Metal Heads and another with an Indian classical influence making melodies you’ve never heard!
We’re influenced by greatness of their times; Seether, 12Stones, Nirvana, Poets of the fall, Puddle of mudd, Blink 182, Greenday, Evanescence, Audioslave, Dream Theatre, Bullet For My Valentine, Iron Maiden, Coldplay, and so on…. Born in the late 2007(Was called Insurgence then, With different Line up), 1fret away struggled to reach where it is today, as there wasn’t much of a ROCK Show scene in Bangalore. Picked up its pace when its line-up had reached its final destination during early 2010!
